But even highly available cloud platforms can’t operate as required if they’re disrupted
by cyberattacks. Highly distributed and volumetric attacks, also known as distributed
denial of service (DDoS) attacks, prove to be the main threat.

IONOS engineers and operates its own platform to defend against these attacks by
leveraging its distributed backbone infrastructure. By learning from our most recent
attacks, we continuously adapt and improve the cloud platform to safeguard against
future threats.
